Shortly before you reach the village square, you will see the "Salkimi" tavern stand out with its wooden dress and gurgling fragrances, swirling out of the kitchen, inviting you to taste the creations of Mrs. Mydallio and Antonis, who will always welcome you with the hottest smile!
Salkimi is the name of the Glyssina plant in Asia Minor, which means "grape bunch" and you will see it dominating the space inside and above the shop, wrapping the tavern roof with beauty. This particular area is complemented by hand paintings by Zoe K. Dinou, where the art of Asia Minor meets the traditional La'ique Pelion culture.
The tastes are traditional and have the aroma of the Asia Minor cuisine. All dishes are homemade, with local ingredients and are cooked with love and passion. Handmade pies with a handbag, a "mustard" that is a roll of veal full of cheeses baked in an olive oil, a "bean'd beetle" which is a beefsteak with an eggplant purée, gulubassi with three meats in the hat and vegetables, '' pork '' with mushrooms, cheeses and cream in earthenware, '' orphan kokorets '' which is a liver in baked slices, wild boar hunting and many other flavors that will satisfy and excite even the most demanding palate!
Open all year round.
Table reservations are essential during a festive season.
